Alvinne only uses whole fruit, no purees or concentrates, resulting in a slow maturation and giving the beer a delicate complexity.
Traditionally cherries and raspberries are used for beer, but we also experiment with other fruits such as quinces and smoked pineapple.
Sloeberries are handpicked every year by Glenn and his team of volunteers.
We already experimented with several things including: Apricots, Asparagus, Bilberries, Blackberries, Blackthorn, Blueberries, Cherries, Chili, Cloudberries, Elderflower, Espelette Peppers, Eucalyptus, Figs, Grapes, Gooseberries, Jostaberries, Lingonberries, Peaches, Pineapple, Plum, Quince, Raisins, Raspberries, Rhubarb, Seabuckthorn, Shiso and Silverberries.
